It all started when…
A good family friend gave a kid a chance. In 1997 our founder, Edward Michael “Mike” Chickering, was a young man without opportunity or a plan for his future. Fred Fonda, owner of Fonda and Sons Plumbing and his friend Garrett’s father, handed Mike a shovel and told him to start digging. Mike learned everything he could about the world of plumbing from the ground up during the tract housing boom at a company that treated their employees like family. In 2002, the world lost a great man when Fred passed away unexpectedly; Fonda and Sons Plumbing closed its doors. Mike went to work for other companies where he learned other aspects of the trade. In 2005, EMC Plumbing opened its doors with a truck and a guy with a dream. His clean, hard work and unwavering dedication has built a solid, reputable company that continues to thrive.
